Resources

Here are some resources that I know would be so helpful to any actor. There are so many products out on the internet that are being promoted, but here on Actor Habits, I’m promoting my favorite ones that have really helped me so far. These are the best resources for actors, all in one place!

Career Tools

Backstage: Definitely the best all-around resource for actors, especially ones who focus on theatre. Very helpful for actors just getting started. I really like using their free content, such as reading their blog posts on acting, watching their videos, and also finding monologues to use from their catalogue. You can also sign up for their subscription to create a profile and submit to their listed auditions. Can’t get much better for theatre actors than this!

Actors Access: Another great resource for actors to find more (mostly film) auditions and submit for them, for both non-union and union actors. I just recently signed up for this and I regret not doing it sooner. So many auditions for all actors, updated every day, and it’s FREE to sign up and make a profile.

Broadway Masters: This is a great resource for actors who want to perform on Broadway (focused on musical theatre). It’s a website that consists of masterclasses from many Broadway performers, such as Laura Osnes, Anthony Rapp, Courtney Reed, and more. A great value for the price. I got a lot of great tips from the videos.

Money Tools

TodayTix: An awesome app + website to save money on theatre tickets. Cities include NY, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, and many more. I’ve seen tickets as low as $10 on here. All you have to do is find a date to go, pick your seats, and pay. Get $10 off your order when you enter in my code DEAVC at checkout!
